Call for Action Against House Demolitions in Al Farisiya and Fasayil

On 19th July 2010 the Israeli army demolished 26 homes in Al Farisiya in the Jordan Valley making 107 more Palestinians homeless. They also destroyed the shelters for over 1000 sheep that members of this bedouin community owned, and have 'confiscated' the sheep and demanded payment from the farmers for their food!

Boycott demo Outside Tescos

On Saturday 13th September 17 people set up a stall outside Tescos in Hove and handed out leaflets to shoppers urging them not to buy Israeli goods.

Two members of the group entered the store, identified herbs and medjoul dates from illegal settlements in the Occupied West Bank, piled them in a trolley, and complained to the Assistant Manager on duty that these goods should not be on sale. They explained to him that Israeli settlements in the West Bank are illegal, that the produce exported from them is grown on land that has been stolen from Palestinians, and that Tesco is complicit by selling settlement goods. He asserted that buying policy was made by Head Office and it was therefore not his responsiblity.

Bil'In demo, 14 April 2007

The events from last week must really have pissed the soldiers off. Today, the end of prisoners week in Palestine, the theme of the action was indeed prisoners. An iron cell with a couple of young men in it at the front of the march symbolised the fate of so many Palestinians. When we left the village to march towards the fence, we saw that there were a lot more soldiers than last week.

The Unbelievable Stench of Irony

The look in their eyes gave it all away. They knew something was wrong - how could they not? Only sixty-five years ago my grandparents were running from young soldiers dressed in green, with machine guns strapped to their under-developed arms, with officers sending them orders, with their uniform trousers tucked into their calf high boots.
